CABINET sHOP GENERAL MANAGER

(Active Fall 2018)

Looking for the right person to grow with us…Shop General Manager for a fast growing custom kitchen and millwork shop. Duties would include but not limited to leading our team in production workflow, scheduling, product and material ordering, analyzing data, cost analysis, creating and maintaining budgets, creating production reports, health and safety and lean manufacturing. Minimum 10 years experience in all aspects of cabinetry, wood and wood products, hardware, finishing and production management experience.  Ability to read drawings and CNC. Human Resource experience would be an asset.  This is a permanent, full-time position. Minimum of 10 years woodworking, cabinet making. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Full time position with benefits. Salary based on experience. Will consider relocation compensation for the right candidate.

Experience Responsibilities and duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • Detail oriented, motivated and enthusiastic individual
  • The ability to train and supervise other shop employees, set up and operate saws, and other woodworking machines – Experience with CNC Routers
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise – internal software systems, ordering and confirming components required 
  • Experience with automated panel processing machinery, including CNC routers, panel saws, and edge-banders
  • Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines
  • Knowledge of industry products (Kitchen/bathroom/cabinetry/custom builds)
  • Supervising the safe operation and maintenance of woodworking machines, including table saws, planers, jointers, drill presses, and other machinery and tools used to cut, shape, and assemble 
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Inspecting works in progress and ensuring completed products meet required standards
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Work with the floor personnel and Sr. Managers to improve manufacturing processes and eliminate errors on the floor improving productivity – Good oral and written communication skills
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
  • Ability to work quickly and change direction as needed
  • Interact with President and all department Lead Hands to meet established production deadlines
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Review all Product Drawings and Shop Drawings and provide input to determine best methods of fabrication
  • Delegate tasks and evaluate performance
  • Run a wide variety of machines and manage the maintenance of same
  • Maintain company quality standards on all finished products
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, MasterCam, CV, Word and Outlook
  • Time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50+ pounds

Cabinetry Assembler

(Active Fall 2018)

Experience with various types of Assembly kitchen/bath custom builds and RTA packages is a bonus but we are willing to train the right person for the job. If you are seeking a permanent full time position and feel you may have the skills we are seeking, then we would like to hear from you.

Experience Responsibilities and duties are as follows but not limited to:

Previous cabinetry assembly, woodworking skills, carpentry work would be helpful. Basic tool experience requirement is a must: Handheld Hammer Drill / Impact driver, Screwdrivers.

Added Skills:

  • Good judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, problem solve and ask questions
  • Team player but also able to work on projects independently
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • The desire to grow within the company
  • Assembly of various Cabinetry panels, Storage systems, Closets, accessories components, edge banding, etc. Work with power tools
  • Able to read blue prints/DFX drawings, complete work orders efficiently, safely with attention to details a must.
  • You must be Punctual, Reliable and Trustworthy, be detail orientated and have the ability to work and communication effectively.

CABINETRY INSTALLER

(Active Fall 2018)

If you are motivated, hard working, and have previous experience with cabinet making and installation we encouraged you to read further and apply for this position.

Experience Responsibilities and duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • Familiar with working with mdf, particle board, hardwoods and laminates and able to heavy lift.
  • Cabinet making and assembly, using machinery, saws, edge Banders, routers, basic wood shop machinery, manufacturing millwork items, residential and commercial.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble wooden articles to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.
  • Bench work includes working with Pe-Lam, Veneers, laminates, Solids (MDF,Melamines..etc.)
  • Install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, drawer slides, cabinet accessories, etc.
  • Ability to read & understand blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed
  • Able to set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines, such as power saws & handled sanders..etc
  • A minimum 2-3 yrs experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).

SANDER

(Active Fall 2018)

We are a high end established Custom Kitchen/Bath cabinetry shop in Minden Ontario. We are looking to add a hard-working sander to our dynamic group of employees.

  • The candidate must have an great eye for attention to detail, have high standard for quality of work and the ability to stand for periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate and work well within our team.

  • Experience in sanding/cabinetry/carpentry would be an asset but willing to train the right candidate.

FINISHER

(Active Fall 2018)

We are a well established custom kitchen/bath manufacturing company. This position requires you to be responsible for the finishing of high-end custom millwork and cabinetry. We are looking for someone who has a good work ethic, has great attention for details and who is committed to producing a high quality product. Extensive experience in the area of finishing is required for this position. If you have these qualities and experience and want to work with a great team, please send us your resume.

Experience Responsibilities and duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • Experience prepping millwork and cabinetry for spraying
  • Experience spraying different types of lacquers and finishes
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to reproduce sample finishes accurately and with an eye for strong quality finishes
  • Proactive in communicating stock requirements and required maintenance for spray machine and booth.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work quickly and change direction as needed

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Spray cabinetry and millwork to desired finish
  • Communicating with team to ensure priority items are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean work environment (ie prep and clean equipment to maximize output quality and keep in very good working condition)
  • Mix paints, stains and lacquers to specification to meet job requirements and customer satisfaction
  • Preparing millwork and cabinetry for finishing by prepping, sanding and staining surfaces as required
